Flagship Motorola smartphone 'Moto X' coming to India |
The report claims that the Moto X will be launched in Western Europe and Mexico in the second quarter of the year, while it is expected to reach Australia in the next few weeks too. While Samsung and some other phone makers have started opting for Tizen, it is quite likely that Motorola may also have such plans as it is no longer a Google-owned entity. However, the company has confirmed that it doesn’t plan to employ other OSes like Tizen or Windows Phone.
Earlier this year, when the Moto X received a $150 price cut and started selling for $399 in the US, it was highly speculated that the phone will be launched in India with the revised price to compete more aggressively in the market against the likes of the Galaxy Grand 2 and a slew of other low-cost Indian brands.
The Moto X sports a Nexus 4-like 4.7-inch 720p touchscreen but its AMOLED display is said to enable better power savings and it also has some additional software features, exclusive to the phone. The Moto G is the more affordably priced variant of the Moto X and has received accolades for its performance, build and price.
